Preview Dewar Shield Rd 16 Moorabbin v Melbourne

PREVIEW: MOORABBIN v MELBOURNE

When these sides met back in Round 8, the Unicorns held off the Rams in an entertaining encounter.

Now that they’re inside the top four, Melbourne will be desperate to ensure they’re able to record a season double, however travelling to Moorabbin is no simple task, as Unicorns’ Head Coach Anare Koliavu is well aware.

“We expect Moorabbin to come out and try and play a physical game against us on their home turf, but we are up for the challenge,” he said.

Moorabbin Head Coach Bob Stevenson said that he “expects the Melbourne forwards to be ready for a tough contest; we also expect the Unicorns to spread the ball out wide.”

He’s looking for flanker Simon Brown to make a big impact; “he’s our stand out player for the month, with his hard work rate,” Stevenson said.
