With the top four seemingly set in stone with two rounds remaining in the Direct Connect #DewarShield, every team in action has a different purpose or goal this weekend.
Melbourne Head Coach Anare Koliavu is wary of the threat posed by Hills.
“Last time we met, it was even in the first fifteen minutes; they held us out well and have a solid scrum,” he said. “They have nothing to lose and will want to beat us at their home ground, and will throw everything at us this weekend.
“We are on target for the top four, and it’s about getting all the little things right.”
The final match of Round Seventeen is a final home game for the year for Endeavour Hills, who will be looking to reward their loyal supporters and sponsors with a positive performance against the impressive Unicorns, before next week’s trip to Moorabbin to face the Rams.
“We are looking at winning one of our last two games to give us a positive step into the Rugby Sevens competition and into next year,” Endeavour Hills Head Coach John Eden said.
“Melbourne play with a lot of structure, but if we create enough pressure in defence I think their discipline falls away, and we can play off that.”
Rennie Lautolo-Molimau and Manni Te’o were injured last week, and remain in doubt for this match.
